After we bought a cargo bike which we like, most people don’t know what should we pay attention to when driving it, today let’s talk about it.
1. Adjust the height of seat and handlebar
First, adjust the height of the seat and handlebar to make it in the safest and most comfortable position, especially the seat height. It is best to land on both feet at the same time when you need to stop during riding.
2. Check whether the tire pressure is appropriate.
First of all, you should obey the road traffic rules. Do not cross the red light. Ride in the slow lane instead of the fast lane. Turn off the lights when you’re in traffic jam. Slow down when turning and avoid fast turning at a small angle when driving at high speed, which may resulting traffic accident.
3. Test whether the braking device is effective and reliable, and whether the power supply is cut off and whether the motor has stopped working after braking.
4. Check the electric quantity
When the power is turned on, it is particularly important to watch the power on the display, especially when it is used after long time. In addition, check whether the electric horn, light and other relevant driving safety parts are effective!
5. Check the rotating parts: whether the front and rear wheels, pedals, cranks, sprockets, chains and flywheels operate normally and whether there is anything wrong.
Riding method at start-up: generally, electric cargo bicycles have start up function, that is, when stationary, open the switch and turn the speed regulating handle to start the cargo bike. However, the starting current at this time is two to three times that of normal driving, which has a great impact on the motor and battery, especially the battery. Therefore, in order to extend the mileage of one-time charging and the service life of the battery, the pedal should be started first. When the bike has a certain speed for three or four turns, the circuit can be connected again. This is particularly important in areas with heavy traffic and many traffic lights. Frequent restart will certainly shorten the service life of the battery. After charging, first unplug the plug on the AC power supply, and then unplug the plug connected to the battery. It is forbidden to connect the charger to the AC power supply for a long time without charging.
